One of our favorite places to visit
is the home of a Tracker friend of ours by the name of Hildegard.  There are always outdoor surprises, and always an abundance of fantastic food!

On Saturday morning we took a hike through the snow to the location of a quaint little cabin in the middle of the woods.
This was furnished and heated, and its use was offered to us if we ever wanted a primitive retreat.

Many Explorer groups have had the benefit of
sitting in Hildegard's dining room. 
And then, of course, there's cheese cake!!

We usually crash in the living room.
Here, some of the boys built a different sort of survival shelter.
