The story of three siblings. I don't know which one is the most strange. The younger brother wants to be a girl and is encouraged by the older two. The older brother is sexually attracted to his sister throughout the entire movie, building to a surprising ending. And all three conspire to bury mom under a floor of poured cement in the basement when she passes away. This movie is starkly shocking in its treatment of taboos, while still retaining a warmth, depth and sincerity that has earned it much praise. |
