Larry Clark
makes his third appearance on this list. Ken Park truly opens
with a bang, and then settles into a less violent but equally disturbing
story of four teenagers. Their lives are full of violence, sex, hatred
and drugs. As usual, Clark manages to portray his story in a realistic
and relevant way, making this a movie of our times. Like
Kids, this is
not a condemnation of all youth, but rather a glimpse into what is lurking
in some dark corners, -more dark corners than we would probably like to
acknowledge. |
